Emotional intelligence - the ability to understand ourselves and others – is central to career and personal success. In this workshop we will explore the five key principles of emotional intelligence to improve our self-understanding and ability to adapt to others. We will identify how being emotionally intelligent enables us to communicate more effectively and build stronger working partnerships.

By the end of this workshop you will have:

  • Developed an understanding of the key components of emotional intelligence
  • Identified practical strategies for communicating effectively in your research relationships
  • Built a stronger self-understanding and an awareness of how to modify behaviour to maximise interactions with others.

This workshop will be presented by Dr Shari Walsh, Developer and Facilitator of Resilient Researcher, Psychologist and Career Development Practitioner, Growth Psychology, Brisbane.
