Many researchers think equate networking with business and sales but they couldn’t be more wrong.  The ability to network effectively, and then use your networks strategically, is critical for anyone entering today’s workplace; whether that be in academia, industry, government or not-for-profit environments.   You may think that networking is unimportant or just uncomfortable for you:  but it is a professional skills that, if mastered, can be a powerful strategy for making an impact in your community and achieving your professional goals.

The Strategic Networking workshop will help you understand the strategic value of networking,  identify networking opportunities, develop your capacity to network and create a networking action plan.

The session is presented by Joanne Shambler from Trevor-Roberts, a career consultancy firm based in Brisbane and delivering workshops nationally.
